Start with cages that have very limited combinations, then compare those possibilities with the surrounding rows, columns and boxes.
It can be, especially on easier pages. If you already know Classic Sudoku, Killer Sudoku gives you a new rule to learn without changing the whole structure of the game.
Avoid solving cages in isolation. A cage total may look valid by itself, but the digits still need to fit the rest of the Sudoku grid.
Start with small cages, common sum combinations and normal row, column and box logic. The goal is to learn how arithmetic clues and standard Sudoku restrictions work together.
Killer Sudoku adds cages with target sums to the normal Sudoku rules. Each cage must reach its total while the digits still obey the usual row, column and box restrictions.
